Alpha Muslim: Quran & Dhikr
Credits and sources
Alpha Muslim keeps the name of each source with the text. The files from Quranic Universal Library stay under the terms of the people who prepared them.
Quran.com and the Quran Foundation
Live translations, tafsirs, recitations, and search come from the Quran Foundation Content API used by Quran.com. Those texts stay with their publishers. Alpha Muslim keeps a copy on this device only after you open it.
Quranic Universal Library (Tarteel QUL)
Word timings, mushaf line breaks, Urdu translations and tafsirs, surah introductions, themes, similar verses, mutashabihat, topics, and roots are shared through QUL at qul.tarteel.ai. Most of that library was prepared by the community, not by Tarteel. Please keep this credit with the text.

Translations
English in the bundled reader is The Meaning of the Glorious Quran by Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall, which is in the public domain. Urdu is the translation of Fateh Muhammad Jalandhry, via Tanzil. Other languages that you download come from the Quran Foundation API and stay under their publishers.
Tafsir
Tafsir al-Jalalayn, by Jalal al-Din al-Mahalli and Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti, is the classical commentary bundled through Tanzil. Urdu tafsirs that you download are the editions published through QUL. A short lesson in Learn is a summary for study, not a replacement for those books.
Reciters and audio
Each recording stays with its reciter and publisher. Mishari Rashid al-Afasy is the default voice. Abdul Basit and the other voices in the reciter list are played from QuranicAudio, EveryAyah.com, or the Quran Foundation CDN. Word-by-word timestamps that are not from the publisher are credited to Collin Fair or to QUL.
Hisnul Muslim and IslamHouse
The adhkar are from Hisnul Muslim, by Sa'id ibn Ali ibn Wahf al-Qahtani. The Arabic is the text published on IslamHouse.com and is unchanged. English and the recordings follow hisnmuslim.com. The Urdu edition on IslamHouse is a scanned book, so the cards do not add an Urdu translation.
Names of Allah and the Prophet
The ninety-nine names follow the well-known list taught with the Quran. The names of the Prophet ﷺ on that page are names in the Quran, and the names he used for himself in the hadith: Muhammad, Ahmad, al-Mahi, al-Hashir, and al-Aqib (Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim). The page is a remembrance, not a complete biography.
Prayer times
Prayer times are calculated on the phone with the adhan package (MIT), using the Karachi method and the Hanafi Asr as the Pakistan default, and Muslim World League, ISNA, Umm al-Qura, Egypt, Dubai, and Singapore when you choose them. The result is a calculation. Check it with your local mosque when it matters.

Qibla
The Qibla bearing is the great-circle direction from your city, or from a foreground location fix, toward the Kaaba. The compass uses the phone's motion sensors only while that screen is open. The bearing is not stored as a track and it is not shared.
Fonts
King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran published the mushaf fonts and the Madani and Nastaleeq page layouts. Uthmani and IndoPak words follow those prints via Tanzil and QUL. Digital Khatt is by Dr. Amin Anane. IndoPak Nastaleeq work includes Ayman Siddiqui. Scheherazade New and Noto Naskh Arabic are used under the SIL Open Font License for the flowing reader.

QuranWBW and Tanzil
Tanzil prepared and checked the Quran text behind most of these files. QuranWBW.com prepared word-by-word translations, including the Urdu word meanings in the library.
Icons and the adhan recording
Icons are the Material Icons set that ships with Flutter, and Cupertino icons. The prayer reminder uses Beautiful adhan by Adam-synagda, dedicated to the public domain (CC0) on Wikimedia Commons.
Open-source packages
Alpha Muslim is built with Flutter and open-source packages, including Riverpod, go_router, just_audio, audio_service, geolocator, flutter_compass, and the packages named on the licences page. Their notices are the Flutter licences screen.
