Alpha Muslim ("we", "the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the app collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. You can use Alpha Muslim as a guest without providing any personal information.
Account information. If you choose to create an account, we store your email address and the name you provide. This is used only to identify your account and sync your data.
Your app content. Bookmarks, personal notes, reading progress, reading streaks, reading plans and your last-read position are stored so they are available across your devices.
Approximate location. If you use Prayer Times or the Qibla compass, the app requests your device location to calculate accurate prayer timings and the direction of the Kaaba. Coordinates are sent to the prayer-times service for that calculation and cached on your device. We do not store your location on our servers and we do not track your movements.
Preferences. Settings such as your chosen translations, reciter, font size and script are stored to personalise your experience.
We do not collect contacts, photos, microphone audio, health data, or advertising identifiers, and we do not sell your data.
Quran text, translations, tafsir and recitation audio are provided by the Quran Foundation / Quran.com API. Prayer times, Hijri dates and Qibla direction are provided by the Aladhan API. City search uses the Open-Meteo geocoding API. Questions you submit to the Ask the Quran feature are processed by an AI language model provider to generate a response. These services receive only the data needed to fulfil the request.
Your data is stored on the Base44 platform, which hosts this application. Access is restricted so that only you (and, where required, an app administrator) can read your personal records. Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
Alpha Muslim is suitable for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. You can delete your account and all associated data directly in the app: open Profile → Delete My Account. This permanently removes your bookmarks, notes, reading history, plans, preferences and account record. This action cannot be undone.
You can also revoke location access at any time in your device settings; the app will continue to work and you can set your city manually.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
